What Kinsta is

Kinsta is a managed WordPress host. Managed means Kinsta handles server setup, speed, security and backups, and its support team knows WordPress. It costs more than shared hosting, but it’s built for business sites that need to stay fast and online.

Each plan comes in two versions at the same price: one measured by visits, one by server bandwidth. You choose which. Yearly billing gives you two months free. Larger single-site, multisite, agency and enterprise plans are available. Kinsta’s pricing page sometimes shows a different line-up of plan names at the same $35 starting price, so check the plan at checkout.

Included on every plan

  • Unlimited free migrations, done by Kinsta’s team
  • Daily automatic backups (14 days on entry plans) and one-click staging
  • Free SSL and the Kinsta CDN
  • Managed firewall with DDoS protection, and free malware removal
  • 30 data centres worldwide
  • 24/7 human support in 8 languages

Free month and money-back guarantee

  • First month free on new Single 35k and WP 2 plans. You enter card details but aren’t charged for the first 30 days.
  • 30-day money-back guarantee on all managed WordPress plans, including add-ons. With the free month, the 30 days start after the free period.
  • No intro pricing. Plans renew at the same regular price.

Limits and catches to know

  • Overages: going over your plan costs $0.50 per 1,000 visits or $0.50 per GB of server bandwidth, plus $2 per GB a month for extra disk space and $0.05 per GB of CDN bandwidth. Your site stays online, but very large overages (the plan price or $500, whichever is less) can be billed straight away, and the account can be suspended if payment fails.
  • No email hosting. You’ll need a separate email provider.
  • Entry plans aren’t for stores: Kinsta doesn’t recommend its smallest plans for ecommerce or membership sites, and multisite isn’t available on them.
  • Add-ons cost extra: for example an extra WordPress site is $30 a month and premium staging $20 a month.
