How to choose an e-commerce app
- Ask how you’ll measure it. An app should move a number you can see in your analytics, such as conversion rate or average order value. If you can’t measure it, you can’t tell if it’s paying for itself.
- Check how the price scales. Many store apps charge by orders or revenue, so a cheap app can get expensive in a good month.
- Mind your store’s speed. Every app adds scripts. Stack too many and pages slow down, which costs sales.
- Look for a clean uninstall. Some apps leave code behind in your theme after you remove them.
- Test the support. Send a question during the trial. How fast they answer now is the best you’ll get later.
